Move Beyond HIV
The Beyond Diagnosis Course (BDC) is a three-day face-to-face closed course for anyone living with HIV that wants to come to better terms with their condition, whether they were diagnosed many years ago or just last month.
The BDC is FREE for everyone living with HIV and is led by volunteers who are themselves living with HIV and areas covered include: disclosure; medication, side effects, drug interactions/resistance and managing adherence.
The BDC is held in-person at the Mortimer Market Centre and is co-facilitated between the Bloomsbury Network and the Peer Support Team at the Bloomsbury Clinic but is is open to anyone independently of where they have their care.
Sessions are delivered across three Saturdays, starting at 10.30am and finishing at 4.00pm each week. Participants need to attend all three sessions that will take place on 15, 22 and 29 October 2022.
Across three Saturday sessions, participants explore:
Dealing with your diagnosis
Learning about undetectability
Medication Q&A
Handling stigma, disclosure and relationships
Equality and the law
Advice on wellbeing
The BDC is a closed group - meaning that only those people living with HIV who have Registered for a place can attend. Full venue details are shared once your place has been booked.
