The Art of Therapy - Healing Through Artwork
Sign-up for our new Art Therapy programme that will be running face-to-face over six weeks starting Thursday 20 October 2022, 5.30pm - 7.30pm. The programme is FREE and will be delivered out of a lovely private venue near King’s Cross, London.
You don't need to be 'good at art' to participate and no previous art experience is needed. With abundant art materials and a relaxed atmosphere this is an opportunity for you to express yourself in a way that is creative, free and authentic. It is also tremendous fun and can be helpful in releasing stress, getting in touch with your inner artist, gaining confidence in freestyle painting and learning to be less judgemental of yourself and others.
Art Therapy is a combination of visual art and psychotherapy facilitated by an experienced Art Psychotherapist who will help you use creative processes such as painting and drawing to better express and explore your inner thoughts, feelings and conflicts.
The programme is FREE for everyone in Camden and Islington living with HIV. However, places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment and remember to wear old clothes for painting!
Art Therapy can be particularly helpful for a range of concerns or challenges including: Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Grief and Loss, Critical Illness, Creative Block, Lack of Focus, Low Self-Esteem, and Difficulties with Communication
